Roof top garden progressing

For those still watching this blog, the roof top garden is coming along great. The grass arrived this morning - you can see the big crane that lifted it up to the roof and the grass (the long bags) waiting for installation. It will be going in the spaces that are not tiled as you can see in the forefront and back right of the picture.

With three BBQ areas it is going to be great.

  1. Are we able to use it anytime? I'm having a few people over for a house warming & would like to use the rooftop.

  2. Not yet Magda, they are still constructing it so lock it up each evening and its too messy and potentially dangerous for the builder to allow access yet. Soon though, the grass is almost in.

  4. So I'm having an issue with the underground parking. While they say a truck of my size can fit underground (which it does) they didn't seem to take into account turning radius and I'm stuck above ground. If anyone is on here and has a straight pull in sport off a lane way and would want to switch with one closer to the elevator I'm spot 60. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can help.

    Cheers,

    Corey

  5. Yeah that wall in front of the garage door is a huge mistake. Annoying for me as well, and I have a SUV

  6. I keep hearing that although I must admit I am not sure why - I guess some vehicles just do not have a good turn radius. Fortunately my car has a great turning radius so it is no issue at all - I also turn right and not left which might also be part of it.

I did measure the distance though since my sister has said the same thing with her big van and from the entrance to the wall it is 5 feet longer than in my previous condo.

  7. I can navigate underground no problem making corners in the laneways, but trying to actually turn into my spot could require a 3000 pt turn assuming everyone else parks as far back in their spaces as possible. Ill probably just go around and leave a note on peoples windshields explaining the situation and if they would consider swapping places. If not, tough luck for me I suppose

  8. The issue is being 5cm from the wall & my front bumper everytime I get out. Im sure sometime I won't make it & will have to reverse and then drive just to get out! Also what I'd there's another car coming down while I'm going up? One of us will have to wait. Or worse get hit. Worst underground parking I've seen

  10. Parking - I understand now what you mean. Maybe you will find someone with a smaller vehicle to switch with.

  11. I agree that the layout of the garage was not well thought out. When you have a vehicle coming out of the garage and going into the garage at the same time you have to wait as there isn't enough room for both vehicles to do so. I hate to say it but I am just waiting for a collision to happen. I am sure during the winter months when everything is slippery and icy we are going to have problems. I wonder if the builder can do anything about this? I know its probably too late but the garage for the building across from us looks like it was thought out a little more better.
