Last post of 2011. More work has been done. Starting to look good and hopefully still remains on schedule. I will let you know more in the New Year, move in year!

November Update

Digging continues onthe new site. It looks to me to be almost ready for the foundation to go in.

I will be back to take another look in a couple of weeks. Meanwhile if anyone has information on the goings on, please be sure to let me know.

October Update

The digging continues. My wife and I stopped by recently (October 10th) to view the progress. It looks good.

Let us hope progress continues well throughout the coming winter months.

August 29th

Well, the great news continues. New Horizon Homes have graciously offered to be onside with the blog. Details on how we will work things out will come over time but for now, I am certain that the builder will be there to offer updates as time progresses. As they recently emailed, construction has started and I am hopeful that it stays on schedule. My wife and I are currently anticipating a December 2012 move date. Hopefully in before Christmas!

I am still trying to reach out to all the owners and to get the builders onside. Will keep you posted.
Even though it is still very early, my wife and I are excited to be moving in next year (hopefully). For us it is a downsizing, as we move into a smaller place with less upkeep. However, the long time frame to moving day is perfect since it gives us the time to reduce all the "stuff" we have collected over the last 25 years in our house. We are looking forward to meeting all the neighbors as time progresses.

Update July 24 - we have been told that the current sales site should close in the next week or so and contruction begins!

IMPORTANT
I should also mention the blog is moderated for comments.It is also not about complaints - take those to the builder individually. What we want is a sense of community, sharing any information you like about yourselves and the move into Haven; along with updates from the builder on what's happening so we can all keep up to date on schedules and changes.

Our builder appears willing to work with us on this blog. Look forward to new events being posted as details emerge. And a big thanks to the builders!

Haven condo site from Google Earth

As mentioned by condoman, here is the site as pictured by Google Earth. As you can see, it is before construction. I placed it back in the early comments for easier ongoing reference. I will keep checking to see when Google updates the area but I believe it is at least every 2 years so there may not be another update for some time.

The Haven Condo Blog Begins

Welcome everyone. I am starting this blog to track the progress and growth of our new condo and to hopefully get to know all the buyers and create a community.

I will endevour to interface with the builder and track what's happening, ask questions, and relay information. As well, I hope everyone gets involved and shares their stories, desires and hopes.

To start, I have heard today from one of the salemen that the Permit is approved and Haven hopes to start with Geothermal work in August.

I hope all buyers will sign up to this blog and provide input.
