Roof top mess - UPDATE

UPDATE Oct 15th
I went on the roof top patio this afternoon and found dog poop all over the grass on the East side. It would be apparent it was a small dog.

Firstly, NO DOGS are allowed on the roof. This is in the Bylaws.

Secondly, who lets their dog crap on the roof without picking up after them? If we can find out who is doing it they will be charged with the cleanup. Possibly they are on camera so we might be able to, otherwise it is yet another cost all owners are paying. We need to work together to make sure responsible parties are held accountable for their actions. there are far too many dog owners leaving their deposits everywhere and also killing off the grass.

**************
I went onto the roof to BBQ with my wife on Saturday evening and this is what I found - food left lying on the bench.

and a broken beer bottle.

What is the matter with people? This is our roof top and BBQ area for everyone to enjoy. If you want to be a pig, do so in your own unit and not here. If you make a mess, clean it up!

Remember this when your condo fees go up because we have to pay someone to clean up these messes - it isn't a free cleaning service - we all pay for this. If you know who did it, report them to TAG so they can absorb the cleanup costs and not all of us.

  1. It does make you wonder what kind of people live in this building. Our tenant lives on the ground floor and has to pick up cigarette butts every day because the people above her flick them over their balcony. We have reported this to TAG several times nothing they can do unless you take pictures of the person doing it.

  3. This is not the first time I've seen this. About a month ago it was the same thing, food everywhere with Red Bull cans, hot dog buns and meat on the ground, I believe it's from a bunch of young adults probably the same one's that party till the wee hours of morning yelling outside their balcony. They sound intoxicated. I will be sending Pam an email, it's really starting to become annoying enough is enough!!

  4. Are they the same peeps that leaves their empty beer bottles in the flower beds from time to time? Yes enough is enough, we need to stop them. The non responsible people shouldn't live here, they need to be kicked out.

  5. How about getting the cleaners to clean my daily mess I get on my terrace. I get people's unwanted garbage all the times. To state a few, cigarettes and narcotic butts(fire hazards), hair and nail trimmings. I am so discusted my people's inconsiderate gestures. How can some people think it's ok to through their garbage over their balcony to someone's yard? I am hoping by posting this comment I can get some watchful eyes to catch those stupid people.

  6. I can empathise with you. We all need to be aware that nothing should be tossed off the roof or balcony. It is not just one of our bylaws, someone lives below you - so be considerate!

  7. How do we stop this we have sent several emails to TAG and never get a reply?

  8. I know it is frustrating but unless we catch someone in the act there is not a lot that can be done. We need to work together as a neighbourhood to try and curb this type of behaviour whenever we see it

  9. Really these people need to grow up! This kind of inconsiderate behaviour is just plain childish. Roll on when there are more camera's and we can enforce some of the rules!

  10. I agree totally Roma Black. If we are going to spend money on getting cleaners to clean up garbage, may as well spend that money on cameras to catch those inconsiderate people. Because if we can't catch them, well we will be picking up their garbage. We need cameras to monitor what's going on around this building. We don't need this non sense in this building.

  11. Is this why our condo fees went up so much? This is upsetting. If I see anyone up there with a dog believe me I'll take a pic.

  12. Magda, this is certainly one of the costs we all pay. Along with cleaning up cardboard and household items people leave in the garbage rooms; getting rid of stuff they leave in the locker rooms and cleaning the carpets more frequently than we should need to, and paying for lights being left on in those rooms. All these are costs we can control if we all work together -it is just common sense.

Remember as well, it is always the case that fees will go up the first year of a condo. Builders lowball the costs to get people to buy using low fees as a hook and then once registered, fees will rise because by law condos must not run a deficit. You don't know what fees are needed until a year has passed and you can see what was paid out.

  13. This is off topic, but are there still furnace filters available? I have a 15x28

  14. I have no large ones left, and only a couple of the smaller filters. I hope to find out where we can get them individually and will let you know.
